The Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education will host its 11th Annual Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m., on the Bulloch County Courthouse Square. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages as individuals or teams of five or more.
Register online at www.active.com. Pre-registration is preferred to guarantee a t-shirt. Early Bird race packet pick up is on Fri., Nov. 16, from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., at the Bulloch County Board of Education- Board Room, located at 150 Williams Road, in Statesboro.
This is a complete schedule of race day activities:
8:00 a.m. On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Courthouse.
8:45 a.m. – A free mascot run is at 8:45 a.m.No registration is required. Simply have your business or school mascot arrive by 8:15 a.m. to the Courthouse Square for line up. Mascots may where tennis shoes if their costumes allow it.
9:00 a.m. – 1K fun run for ages 12 and under.
9:30 a.m. – 5K Turkey Trot for runners and walkers of all ages. The 5K course begins at the Courthouse and winds through Statesboror’s historic retail and residential area.
11:00 a.m. – Awards ceremony for all age divisions. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place male and female winners in the Turkey Trot Run in 14 age divisions from age 12- and-under to 70+. Results will be posted on www.coolrunning.com and www.runninintheusa.com.

- Annual $1,000 Grant to Bulloch County Teacher of the Year
