As part of Georgia Power’s commitment to charitable giving and support of the arts, St. Marys Little Theatre was the recent recipient of a check for $1,000.
“Bringing energy to a community through our volunteer service and charitable donations is as important as providing energy through our power lines,” said Paulo Albuquerque, Georgia Power Area Manager. “Georgia Power understands and appreciates the role that cultural arts plays in all our communities and endeavors to support those entities that enrich our communities through their programs.”
Barbara Ryan, Founder and Chair of St. Marys Little Theatre said that it is through the help of good corporate citizens such as Georgia Power that the nonprofit organization is able to sustain excellent programs to benefit the entire community.
“St. Marys Little Theatre is all about inclusivity and giving everyone a chance to express themselves through performing arts,” Ryan said. “Georgia Power’s generous contribution will help fund outreach programs to bring families together under the theatre umbrella and provide the tools that make community theatre a rewarding experience.”
St. Marys Little Theatre will open its 8th season in September with the premiere of “AN EVENING WITH THE STARS,” an original musical that features 28 look- and sound-alike celebrities.
