Trion Baseball Varsity Claims Blow Out Win Over Darlington Thanks To Seventh Inning Boost

Trion put up five runs in the seventh on its way to an 8-2 victory over Darlington on Monday. Logan Bicknell, Will Wyatt, and Andrew Venn powered the big inning with RBIs.
Trion got things started in the first inning when Hagen Willingham grounded out, scoring one run.

The Bulldogs tallied five runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Bicknell, Wyatt, and Venn, all driving in runs in the frame.

Bicknell led the Trion to victory on the mound. He went five innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out nine. Ishiah Parker threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Bell was on the mound for Darlington. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four. Himes and Speed entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.

Trion tallied ten hits. Colt Trammell and Wyatt all had multiple hits. Trammell led Trion with three hits in five at bats.
