Georgia Power customers will see a $25 dollar credit to there April bill.
The credit is due to Plant Vogtle nuclear expansion. This is the first of three $25 credits to be applied starting this April. This will be a total of $75 in credit to customers, or $188 million overall.
This credit was approved by Georgia’s Public Service Commission (PSC) to help continue the construction and expansion of Plant Vogtle 3 and 4 since December 2017.
The credits are part of a guaranteed payment from the Toshiba project and the projections from the original contract put in place for Georgia electric customers.
