Forbes has released its list of “America’s Most Promising Companies,” and one Floyd County-based business was named.

Big Time Products, located in the Shannon area of Floyd County employs over 100 people in the making of household and personal products.

The company, under the direction of CEO Harry Pierce, was ranked at No. 37 on the Forbes List for 2015 with revenue 0f $141 million.

Big Time Products was founded by Pierce, along with Richard Chambers, who still keeps the company’s original business sketch on a napkin in his safe, according to Forbes.

Chambers doesn’t hide the fact that Big Time enjoys taking out their competition, saying “we hold them under the water until there are no more bubbles.”

The company was originally funded by a $35 million line of credit, and now sells items such as gloves, umbrellas, and work shoes to over 70,000 retailers including AutoZone, Walmart, and Ace Hardware.

Big Time Products was previously ranked at No. 85 on the same list.
