C and H Paving Inc. plans to begin a $380,000 pavement preservation crack sealing and patching contract Monday morning on State Route (SR) 21/Millen Bypass.

Crews will focus on eight miles from the downtown area ending at the county line. Expect daily lane closures and some delay as this project moves along. Weather conditions may alter the first week’s plan.

General work hours at 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drivers can expect contractors in the area for several weeks until completion.

In total, this contract includes roadway sealing and patching on SR 21 and SR 23/Sardis Road in Jenkins County. Twenty-one center-lane miles will be preserved for a longer life.
